Ingredients Used for Skincare at Home

In this article, I will talk about the herbal oils, acids, and vitamins I use in my skincare routine. I don’t prepare very detailed mixtures. When there are too many ingredients, it confuses me and makes it harder to prepare. Here are the mixtures I use at home:

Shea Butter: Also known as Shea butter, this oil has the highest moisturizing properties. I mostly use it on my face. I think it’s sufficient to use it alone as both day and night cream for moisturizing. It’s also a good option for under-eye moisturizer.

Coconut Oil: This can also be found in liquid form in the market. In its original form, it’s solid unless the weather is very hot. I apply coconut oil to both my face and hair. However, it’s recommended to wash the face after using it on the face. Leaving it on the face can be harmful. It can be used as a cleansing oil in this way. I like to use cleansing oil before cleansing gel or peeling. It helps to remove my makeup and makes my skin smoother.

Lavender Oil: This oil is beneficial for both skin and hair. It also has a nice scent. If I’m putting other oils with a tablespoon, I put lavender oil with a teaspoon in mixtures.

Tea Tree Oil: This plant is known as a natural cortisone. It’s known to heal problems like dermatitis, eczema, etc. Since I have seborrheic dermatitis, I put it in my hair, face, and soaps. Like lavender oil, I put tea tree oil with a teaspoon in mixtures.

Hyaluronic Acid: Here’s the substance that’s very popular lately for anti-aging and preventing wrinkles. I use it as a serum. It’s sold in powder and serum form.
